Wild Wind Ranch
Wild Wind Ranch transitioned from a private family estate to a community-centric organization in 2016. In response to owner Christy Lisle’s diagnosis with a rare form of cancer (poorly differentiated insular thyroid cancer), the Lisle family mobilized their resources and opened the ranch to the public, establishing a vital network of community support.
Having successfully navigated that challenge, the ranch has channeled that community spirit into a formal service model. In addition to maintaining highly accessible, low-cost services, Wild Wind Ranch operates as a community asset—offering cost-free educational programs and experiential learning opportunities centered on animal husbandry and welfare.
